Dentistry and Individuals with Special Health Care Needs

This presentation provided an overview of dental care for individuals with special health care needs (pediatric to adult). The presentation included information about unique aspects of providing dental care to individuals with special health care needs, barriers to access to care, the dental home model, as well as a presentation on dental training resources/modules. This presentation included an overview of the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center.

The presenters on this webinar spoke about the benefits of being a trainee in a large network and why staying connected to the network is important. The presentation included how to find a job or fellowship, how a fellowship can benefit your career, and how to "sell" your traineeship experience to prospective employers who are not familiar with UCEDDs/LENDs. Additional tips and advice were given to help find and secure a job or fellowship.
